CAST - Laguna De Volcanes

I Cast sono il gruppo di rock progressivo sinfonico attivo più importante del Centroamerica.

Dopo ben nove album in studio rigorosamente cantati in inglese il gruppo messicano ha deciso di ritornare alle proprie origini: dopo una accurata ricerca nel baule dei ricordi il gruppo ha reinciso i propri maggiori successi in lingua spagnola inventando un percorso musicale fresco, dinamico e al contempo pieno del calore delle loro terre, ben lontano dalle velleità derivative dei modelli occidentali.
Con Laguna de Volcanes i Cast danno nuova linfa ai loro brani migliori con un percorso che si snoda per un intero decennio in ben due CD di rock sinfonico di altissimo livello.

Da una parte è quindi un ottimo trampolino di lancio per scoprire le sonorità dei Cast mentre per chi già li conosce troverà aspetti nuovi assolutamente stimolanti.
La reincisione ha anche permesso di appianare le ingenuità presenti sui brani più vecchi attualizzando e modernizzando alcuni arrangiamenti, creando un disco che più che una mera compilation è un sentito percorso lungo le strade della memoria e dell'arte di un gruppo sinceramente appassionato della propria musica e sempre consapevole delle proprie potenzialità artistiche.

Per questo lavoro i Cast si sono affidati a una neonata etichetta italiana, Rock Revelation, che è fiera di iniziare la propria avventura con un lavoro di spessore che non deluderà nessuno.

Cast is the more important synphonic progressive rock band of Central America. After nine studio albums sung in english language, the mexican band has decided to turn back to its origin: Cast has made an accurate research in the trunk of its memories and has re-recorded some of its more brilliant and successful works in spanish, inventing a new dynamic and fresh course, full of the warmth of its land as well, but without that sort of ambition which is the peculiarity of most of the western models.

In Laguna de Volcanes Cast gives a new lymph to its best songs of a ten years course developed in a very high level symphonic rock two cds set.

It is therefore really a good chance to meet and know the Cast’s sound, whilst the old fan will certainly find out new particular aspects of the band..

The re-recording has allowed Cast to modernize the arrangements and settle some ingenuosness in the older songs creating, instead of a simple compilation, a real course through the memory and the art of a band who really believes in its music and who has always been acquainted of its artistic potentiality.
